BIB Group

BiB was formed by the three existing shareholders; Peter Atkinson, David Carter and Martin Littleton, on the 9th November 1981 in Bedale North Yorkshire.

A major part of their business was then, and still is now, Farming and in 1988 they formed BiB Underwriters Limited, an underwriting agency providing specialist insurance solutions for the agricultural and rural community.

At the same time BiB moved to Darlington to bigger premises. They now have two offices in Darlington at Northgate and Valley Street.

Having started with only 2 members of staff, BiB now employs nearly 100 staff across their two sites, looking after the needs of over 20,000 clients and over 500 brokers and intermediaries, putting them in the top 200 independently owned insurance intermediaries in the UK.

BiB Darlington Ltd - Independent Insurance Broking and Financial Advisers for the general public, industry & commerce.

BiB Underwriters Ltd - specialist agricultural insurance products to the intermediary and insurance broker market for general and agricultural brokers throughout the UK

BiB Leasing Ltd - Independent finance brokers who offer finance solutions to both industry and the general public through hire purchase and contract hire.
