Free advice on saving money

Do you have any idea how much money is wasted in your business?

In answering that question, it may be more obvious to look for potentially bad investments or unnecessary purchases, but waste of resources such as paper, energy or water could be costing you a good deal more than you realise.

Many businesses are passing up the opportunity to increase profits, simply by not exercising proper control over use of resources which are crucial to the operation, but where usage may not be closely monitored.

For many, minimising waste while at the same time reducing the environmental impact could be an easy way of improving the results on the bottom line, and free, independent advice and support on ways to achieve this is available through Envirowise, a government funded organisation.

One of the major attractions of utilising Envirowise is that they offer services completely free of charge. Their panel of independent advisors can provide advice tailored to your requirements to help save money through waste minimisation, while at the same time offering guidance on environmental legislation and reducing the environmental impact of your business activities.

Advice can be provided online or by telephone, and in certain instances businesses may be eligible for a site visit from an advisor.  This would be aimed at identifying key areas of waste generation, with a view to working with the company concerned to help develop a waste reduction strategy.

Advice and training is also offered at events around the country, ranging from specialist workshops to conferences and exhibitions.

A detailed explanation of the services available from Envirowise can be found on their website at www.envirowise.gov.uk, or if you want any further guidance than contact us at Spiral.
