Who We Work With - SMEs

For the purpose of categorising business we look at the definition of SME to be that given by the Government of those businesses employing up to 250 employees. Our experience is that businesses over this level tend to have the resources available to do a lot of the work that Spiral carries out for their clients, and therefore see little need to take us on.

Spiral works with SME’s in almost every industry sector. There is no sector that we cannot work within and where our services would not make a positive impact on a business. Our SME clients have two things in common. First of all they have been able to use Spiral as a resource that they just do not have themselves, and secondly they have all increased their profits levels on the back of their relationship with us.

Resource – at any point in time a business needs to resource at a level to retain profitability, and in more recent times the level of staff resources has been cut to a minimum. The rewards to a business of the work Spiral carry out does not normally justify the employing of a member of staff, but that does not mean to say that our work is without value.

Profit – our role within your business is to reduce your cost base, and where possible increase the efficiency of your procurement. The result of this is increased bottom line profit net of any fees we may take.
