Empty premises will cost money

In the next couple of months, significant changes relating to empty rates legislation will result in the biggest shake-up to the rating system since 1990.

With effect from 1st April 2008, owners of commercial property could face significantly increased rates bills, due to new Government legislation on rates relief for vacant industrial premises.

ISO 14001 – the Environmental Standard

Any organisation seeking certification for its Environmental Management Systems needs to meet the standards set out by ISO 14001.

First published as a standard in 1996, ISO 14001 specifies the requirements for an organisation's environmental management system.  It applies to environmental aspects over which an organisation has control, and where it can be expected to have an influence.
