Beware of online insurance deals

The popularity of purchasing insurance cover on-line is rising - but businesses should exercise caution when buying “off-the-shelf” insurance.

2007 saw UK web sales in excess of £160 billion with a 25% increase on the previous year.  But a recent survey of SMEs shows 23% of sites had not been updated since launch, and the average age of a website was four years old.

SMEs who are not managing, updating and promoting their website are neglecting a huge and continually growing customer base.  Obsolete and outdated content can be confusing to the site visitor, and will make the company look disorganised and unprofessional.
