The Beattie PartnershipARE YOU OVER-RATED?
No Saving - No Fee
Did you know that it is possible to appeal the Rateable Value of your business premises, and that if you are successful you could reduce the amount of business rates you pay for up to five years.
Beatties are so confident we can make savings for our clients that we only charge if we’re successful!
The Valuation Office Agency (VOA) have introduced new Rateable Values for all commercial properties in England and Wales from 1st April 2005 until 31st March 2010.
The Revaluation is intended to reflect movements in the property market over a five-year period, and the Rateable Value of your property should equate to the annual rent before the beginning of the rating period. The rates bill you have received from your Local Authority may have risen from last year to take account of these changes.
However, an appeal can be lodged against your new Rateable Value and any reduction could benefit you over the whole five-year period of the Revaluation.
