Spiral Group Purchasing was set up to provide businesses with preferential prices based upon collective buying, it is well known that in most instances that buying a higher volume will cost less per unit.  Trade Associations by their very nature provide a great platform for buying in this way, however, our experience is that very few are achieving what they set out to do.

 Trade Associations must prove that their membership fee is justified, from the services they offer their members such as lobbying, through to the benefits and perks of membership they promote. A lot of their activities can be very hard to value, so at the annual renewal they must employ their resources to ensure the member continues with them.

Quite rightly a lot of Trade Associations look to put in place membership benefits that will provide a benefit to their member far in excess of what the member pays each year as a fee, so making the renewal process a formality. However, for most this is not being achieved.
